Can interview for green card be done at an embassy/consulate other than one's home country?

I'm Brazilian and have already applied for my I-130 (spouse). It looks like it's going to take a while and although I applied while in Brazil, I'm now in Europe and I'm working here. If I'm approved through every stage of the process can I have the interview for my green card done at an embassy or consulate in Europe? I'd hate to go all the way back to Brazil just for an interview

You mean your US-spouse filed the I-130? As the foreign spouse, you cannot file I-130. IF you are legally residing in another country on a long-term visa (e.g. student, employment, NOT tourist), your US petitioner must report any change in your address promptly to National Visa Center (NVC) so that your interview, etc, can be scheduled at the US consulate nearest where you legally reside.

You will need to write the USCIS and the NVC with your case  number and inform them that you are now living in Europe and where, so that they can forward your file to the correct consulate.

I suggest you let your wife, the US citizen or resident do that as soon as possible.

If you are legally in 'Europe' working/living then you inform them of your new address and of course when asked to provide a copy of your visa you can do that............ if you are illegal in 'Europe' you can kiss goodbye to any interview or migrating to the US...as you are showing contempt for other countries visa laws
