What do you think about the new Ruger MK-IV Pistols?

Push the little button and the receiver instantly comes off the frame and the bolt pops out for cleaning. Very nice. Shame the trigger is not drilled and tap for a stop screw. What do you think?

Update:

The model I choose is for indoor target shooting.  It will be a back up for the High Standard Victor model I have used since the late 70's.  Plan to test drive this Ruger tomorrow.  For the same money, about $600, I could have gotten a S+W Performance Center Victory. Hmmm......Wonders if he should have gotten the Victory...…??

Update 2:

I believe drill and taping another user would be against YA standards of contact.  However, if you discover where he lives - I can send a Home Depot gift card for the tar and you can easily procure a feather pillow at WalMart.

OLD stuff. High Standard had that in the 50s. The S&W 22A you have spoken of many times does the same ya know.

    I am not impressed.

Quite happy with my old MK II s.

(at $200 for the Government model, and $200 later for the 5" bull barrel, money well spent)

ADDED : I also have this little pocket pistol in my case of tiny pistols. A Sterling model 300 I bought in the 70s BEFORE it was legal to carry. Push that little button rear just under the slide, the gun falls apart quickly, just a pull of the slide. That booger shoots straight.

Sorry for the youtube pic, my girlfriend is here so ...... (my excuse)

I bought one of the MK IV Lite pistols a few years ago. That one is a nightmare to field strip. Much more difficult than any previous generation. They really needed to do something.  Right after I bought it they came out with the new design. Other than that I've always liked the little Ruger .22's. I think I have one of each generation.

GW, I would be extremely happy  if daniel g was drilled and tapped for a stop

screw so he could be put to a stop for his asinine  answers. He has become the

joke of YA with his stupid answers. What is the purpose of answering as he answers.

What a imbecile.   Maybe one day he will overcome his mental illness and get

some professional help. I pray for him daily. What a moron.
