The best way to thank people for good answers, is to leave a thumbs up, and maybe a comment thanking them, for taking time to respond to your inquiry. Then try to award someone the best answer. Even if you're not going to award a person the best answer that you give a thumbs up, as some people will still appreciate it.

The best way is to comment on their answer saying thanks and give a thumbs up. Tell the person what you think of their answer. You can only award one person best answer after an hour. Positive feedback telling the person you found their answer helpful is great!
