Thanksgiving side dish suggestions?
So this thanksgiving we will have turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams, green bean casserole, crispy stuffing, and rolls. all of this is really heavy stuff so I wanted to add another lighter/fresher side.
has to be dairy free, no beans or cucumber.

Pea salad. It's cold and it's light. Very delicious. As a person who doesn't care for peas I actually enjoy it.

Why not a leafy green salad? You can make it more T-giving themed by adding pomegranate or pumpkin seeds or whatever.
If you want a hot vegetable dish, consider something like roasted brussel sprouts.
I agree that your sides are very heavy. Mashed potatoes and yams are redundant. Stuffing and rolls are redundant. Consider dropping something because four starch dishes is overkill.
You could make the green beans lighter by skipping the casserole and do green beans with slivered almonds.

Salad, although don’t be surprised if not much of it gets eaten.
You can also do plain roasted butternut squash or any other roasted vegetables.
