During war, enemies like to hide on grassy places that is why they are obsess. To be real their parents are strict as hell and it reminds them of their parents when disciplining them. It is a kind of discipline for them.

when a person comes to your house, the lawn is the first thing they see. if it is messy, they assume the person is messy. If the lawn is neat and clean, then they assume a neat and clean person lived there.

Anybody that cares about their home and property take good care as much as possible. Why have a home if not taking care of it. I suppose one should rent an apartment instead.

Oh it's odd but, fun facts look up "Adam Ruins Everything " video...English Gardens of some era made grass, lawn a rich man's dream yard. Can you still believe people still have grass in their front yards? It's time for a change a court yard, no grass,. That would make my yard work ez.

To be obsessed about it means that they actually have a lawn to care for, and they have the moral integrity to keep their property clean and neat. It's called pride of ownership. It's part of the American Dream -- owning your own home, and taking care of it. They respect their neighborhood enough to mow their lawn and make it look as good as possible. That keeps the home values up in the neighborhood, and the neighbors happy, too.
