is 7gb usable ram enough for vr headset that calls for 8gb?

I have an 8gb ram but only 7 usable. the lenovo explorer calls for 8gb and my PC exceeds all the other requirements, will I still be able to use it?

    are you talking video RAM, or system RAM?

    are you sure the 8GB it requires is not SYSTEM RAM?

    what VR kit?

    It's the same thing. You have 8G RAM, how it's allocated doesn't matter. I assume that means you only have on board graphics, and do not have a dedicated/discrete GPU.
