Am I 1 in 400 trillion? ?
According to an estimate the odds of me being born is 1 in 400 trillion. (I can't post a link because Yahoo answers would think my post is spam, but you can Google "the chance of being born" for yourself for more information.)

I Googled the phrase you suggested, and I read that article, plus the "Business Insider" piece to which it pointed. Both are very stupid, misusing the idea of probability. If someone had defined your genetic code in advance, when you HADN'T been born, and when your parents HADN'T met, why then, the chance that you would be born in the future might have been 1 in 400 trillion, or some such tiny number. But that wasn't how the question arose. The question arose after you were already born. In that circumstance, the chance that you had indeed been born was 100%.

the odds of you being born was always a 100% guarantee..once something has already happened it is set in stone...the earth almost went extinct during the last ice age and we really dont understand how life lived through it

Have no idea as to the math behind the 1 in 400 trillion BUT the odds of someone being born if your parents are having sex and trying to get pregnant, the odds of 'someone' being conceived in any month is pushing 25%.
