Since 2014, shinkansen trains run regularly at speeds up to 320 km/h (200 mph), placing them alongside the French TGV and German ICE as the second fastest trains in the world.

At 26000' in a standard atmosphere, 340kCAS = 490 knots True Air Speed, which is the absolute maximum permitted speed of a Boeing 737. 490 kTAS = 564mph or 907km/hr (using a generic Speed Unit Converter.)Yes.

Yes, very possible. A Shinkansen train can travel up to 200 mph. A Boeing 737 can fly as fast as 525 mph

The plane flies much faster than the bullet train, However if you factor in the airport and transfer times the city to city time by train is faster

At cruise altitude (35000 ft) a 737 stall speed is around 400 km/h, true air speed.

Currently, the fastest Shinkansen ride at 320 km/h.So, in cruise, a 737 cannot even fly as SLOW as the maximum speed of the Shinkansen.
