Christmas idea for boyfriend?

That sounds very special and something he'd love, as well as you.

It's a very nice idea, but what specifically is the gift?   

It can be risky to buy flights or vacation rental for specific dates without clearing it with the recipient first.     Airline gift certificate or AirBNB gift certificate would be more flexible.

I had an employee's wife call me and request a week off for her husband for a super secret anniversary trip.  At first thought, it seemed like a fun thing to do, but it presented a few problems.   The employee didn't know he already had those dates off so it got tricky when he started asking for other dates off as he went over his PTO allowance.   In addition, I had to make a "fake" work schedule that had him on it, but I somehow had to block him out in the scheduler so that no one took appointments for him.    It turned out to be a real mess, and really not very fair to him because his vacation was spent without his knowledge or consent.   It all worked out ok, but I wouldn't do it again.

So...please be careful about booking anything specific without his knowledge and consent.
