I have 9 points in Upstate NY with a 2 point ticket I have court for in January , should I get an attorney or take a defensive driving class?
I got a ticket in NY for a turn signal violation which is a two point ticket ... with the holidays I would much rather take a defensive driving class than get an attorney but obviously 11 is the magic number in NY.. thoughts ?? My points are between 2017- now. Not within an 18 month period

I'd take any driving class you can, since you don't seem particularly good at it.
