How many calories a day should I eat?

I’m a 5’4 inch woman who weighs approximately 160 pounds. I desperately want to lose weight. Currently I’m eating 1200 calories a day. Is this enough or should I up my intake to 1500?

1200 might be ok if you are completely sedentary. Otherwise you will want to eat more.

Don't increase your intake unless you're also going to increase your exercise.

surprisingly, you actually need to eat a healthy amount to lose weight, so yes, definitely increase your intake of calories. if you eat too little calories, yes you will lose weight but it's an unhealthy way to lose it as you aren't eating enough. i'm sure i made my answer way too long for your question but the answer is yes, increase your calorie intake.
