I asked her to text me once she got home safely last night.?
I didn't want her to interpret it as anything romantic but she didn't text me.
I know i shouldn't feel anything but I wanted to know if she got home safely...
Should I just ignore it and act like it didn't effect me?
Or follow up?

Forget it. That you asked is good enough. She may feel like you're being too controlling or Checking up on her. She likely doesn't want to be questioned about it.

You should ignore it, give her some time. She may have been tired or didn't feel like texting. What you did was nice and considerate. You care about her safety.
Next time you see her, very casually mention you texted because you just wanted to make sure she got home safely. That's it. Don't bring it up again. Just "throw it out there" and maybe she will understand, or not.

You could follow up. It's nice to know that someone cares and all you're doing is making sure she's ok which is a nice gesture
