I am looking for golf shoes that support the ankle and prevent from rolling ankles does anyone know who makes a good golf shoe to prevent it?

I have rolled my ankle plenty of times by wearing low non protective golf shoes that don't protect the ankle. I need to see if anyone knows about any golf shoes that protect the ankle a little bit more for support. Much help would be greatly appreciated and thank you again.

  • Depends on how you want to approach the issue. Footjoy has a new model (the Tour X) that has built-in support in the heel and comes with a wider base but is low-cut. Nike makes the Jordan golf shoes but they can be hard to find and aren't cheap. No manufacturers make high-top shoes other than Nike and Footjoy (but they're waterproof models designed for wet conditions and not as supportive). You may want to consider an ankle wrap.

Any sporting goods/golf shop should have hi-top golf shoes . . . take a look on line - many makers, Puma seems to have the most.

It's the same as sneakers:  hi-top Converse All-Stars are just a couple inches taller than low-stop (oxfords) - but a big difference in support.
