Nothing is “free” even if we had universal healthcare “Medicare for all”, it is not free, we would be paying for it through taxation. As for why healthcare should be a right, that is the “christian” thing to do.

Healthcare is not free. In countries with single payer healthcare it's paid for by taxes. It just means you don't have to deal with private insurance or paying deductibles. You get it free at point of delivery.

If we don't need to pay money for healthcare, we can save up more money and have more money to spend on stuff such as nice cars, vacations, boats, entertainment, etc.

Since no one is proposing a 'free' healthcare system I am wondering exactly what you are talking about.
- Anonymous1 year ago
No one's asking that it be provided for "free". We're asking for a universal health-care system that would be paid for via taxes that, in my case at least, would cost a lot less than my private insurance premiums cost.
Such a system would cover everyone and be there for people in the event of job loss. It would also keep costs down, especially where medications are concerned. In countries that have such systems, pharmaceutical countries can't gouge the public with high prices, because the government negotiates prices downward.
We are the only advanced, industrial nation in the world that doesn't offer a national universal health-care system, that doesn't use the taxes citizens pay to provide one. It's one of the reasons why we're currently a global laughing stock

Unless doctors , nurses , techs , drug and equipment makers work for free ,,,,, someone is going to have to pay for them .

Because some people can't afford it.

because according to the Left, if the government pays for it, then it must be free.
