When a job says they will let you know one one way or another? Dose that mean they will say yes or no?

They should just say that if you don't hear from them by a certain date then you should assume they found a more qualified candidate or decided to go different paths. Instead employers give out false hope by being ambiguous.

It means they'll let you know whether it's yes or no. But sometimes they say that, then don't if it's no

It should mean they will tell you if you got it and also tell you if you didn't but, really, ignore them. Sometimes they won't tell you if you didn't get it because they don't want you asking why on the phone, so you might just get a rejection letter or even nothing at all, don't believe anything they say about communicating the outcome. I even had one tell me I'm getting the job in the interview and they would ring me with a start date - and then I didn't hear from them again, they won't necessarily stick to what they say. I even had one not get back to me, I thought "oh fair enough I didn't get it" and then three months later they rang me to offer a job and then I worked there for five years. It's obvious what happened there, they decided not to give me a job at the time of applying but kept my details for another time. Anything can happen and another answer is right, they will let you know if you got it and you're just a pain if you ring them.

When a company says they will let you know one way or another, Magical, it means they might or might not hire you. It does not mean yes or no. What it does mean is when they choose the best candidate for the job even if it is not you, you will be notified usually by mail, that you didn't get the job. If they call you, they will let you know that you were either hired or to have you come back for a second interview, which happens frequently. Good luck!

It means they might decide to let you know either way. But don't call them, they will call you.

Job Interview Gone Wrong: The Telltale Signs You Probably Didn't Get the Job
An internal candidate has emerged. Your recruiter can't get in touch with the company. Pre-interview communications are less than professional. They only ask the easy questions. They don't talk salary. . They don't talk start dates.
If they say they will call you later it's just go deceive you as a means of rejection or you need to wait maybe 2 weeks or 3. Usually I send them texts to remind them and if not I go to their reviews to down vote so that they would know not to deceive others.
