    Is it the Chosen One bit? Is that what sparked this? There's a bit in the books about how Harry arrived at being the so-called Chosen One, as well as a prophecy that sets up the final battle between him and Voldemort. 

    And here you'd have to cross over into the New Testies. As HP becomes a savior figure with an actual death and rising again moment. Oh yeah, spoilers. 

    So, I'd say, superficially, the Chosen One reference. Is HP a Moses figure or even a David? Probably not. I'm sure you can argue and twist things about to match HP to one of the characters in the OT or...eh. Might be fun to try.
