Why can’t I handle meat anymore?
Around September of last year, I got very sick. I couldn’t eat anything and I was throwing up 10 times a day at least. Even if I didn’t eat (which was a lot. I maybe had a few bites of cheese and turkey in a months time), I would still throw up and dry heave. I got that issue figured out. After a week of testing at the hospital, they figured out that I had a VERY severe case of thiamine deficiency and I was incredibly malnourished and dehydrated from not eating or drinking ANYTHING for a month. They also discovered gallstones. They took my gallbladder out, gave me vitamins, and sent me on my way. It’s been about 5 months now and I’m immensely better. However, I CANNOT eat any meat at all. Even the smallest bites will make me vomit every damn time. It’s every meat. Not just greasy or fatty ones. ANY meat. It’s really sad and it makes it hard to get my protein in. Anyone have any advice? Is there a way to fix this? Any clue why it’s happening? Feel free to ask me questions as well.

You can still get your protein in... eggs (if you still like those). And here is a web page about how to get protein in for Vegans. It would probably be helpful:

An allergy to meat can follow a bout of one of the tick borne diseases. Your only option is to avoid meat entirely and get your protein from eggs, dairy, and beans.

You can get your proteins from milk/dairy, eggs and legumes. You do not need meat at all if you can't tolerate it.
