What movie for you a slow-burn ,chilling and creepy drama?

Orson Well's Touch of Evil.  You never see anything, it's all atmosphere.  The original "Eye."  The only film where I as a bona fide adult had to sleep with all the lights on. "Under The Shadow"  (It's an Iranian horror film), the Babadook

PS, If you can convince someone who's never seen Amelie before that it's a horror film everything looks like a set up to something bad happening and it becomes watch by the seat of your pants type stuff, but they might never forgive you for there being no denouement for all the tension.
