What is the difference between saying "she is my friend" and "I am her friend"?

    The latter implies you may be her friend but she is not necessarily yours in return.

    First expression is stating a fact that you know. You know who your friends are. Second repression is making an assumption. You can not be really sure you are her friend, maybe she just puts up with you and really does not like you.

  • While "she is my friend" implies that 'she' is 'yours' it does not confirm that 'you' are 'hers' while "I am her friend" implies 'you' are 'her's' but does not imply that 'she' is 'yours'.

    Think this way "She is my friend by I am not her friend" // "I am her friend but she is not my friend" Friendships work both ways.
