How do I drink lots of coffee and yet feel well?
I tried decaffeinated but it makes me sick. Maybe there is a healthy kind of decaffeinated coffee?
6 AnswersNon-Alcoholic Drinks1 month agoIs there a way to store utility knife razors?
I've searched a long while but cannot find anything great to use to store utility knife razors (just the metal razor, not the entire utility knife). Sometimes people want to use just the razor but need to bring it somewhere. A pop-open container for eyeglasses would probably work, but I don't have one to spare right now. It's amazing how difficult it is to find something like this. The utility knife holds razors but it takes a long time to get one of them out. I want a container that holds a razor but also a container from which getting the razor out doesn't take that long.
Is there anything besides a pop-open eyeglasses container that I might use?
3 AnswersMental Health2 months agoAny idea how to fix the bottom of an ancient lamp's metal base?
Decades ago the bottom of the metal base probably had something to prevent scratching. Only a little metal touches the desk because it's a thin amount of metal on the perimeter with a hollow inside, so a huge cut-to-size felt pad would probably not last long since it wouldn't have much metal to which to adhere? Filling the base with some sort of filler would potentially greatly impede subsequent electrical fixes.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 year agoWhat would I use to stop a metal lamp base from scratching the desk? ?
I don't know what used to be there before but it's not a solid metal base so a felt pad would weakly connect to the tiny bit of metal along the edges and not last long.
I've thought that a six inch by six inch mat would work well but couldn't find any. There are large mats like door mats but they're too big and not comfortably cut to yield a smaller mat.
I suppose cork might be nice if there's somewhere selling cork that's comfortably thick and the right size.
4 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 year agoIf a 3-foot midget jumps one foot in the air and a 5-foot girl watches while standing, while he's in the air, who is higher?
This is so annoying, I cannot tell Yahoo Answers! which category so it'll probably go into the Military section again.
Anyway, which is it? The 5-foot girl's head is a foot higher than the midget's, but the midget's feet are a foot higher than the 5-foot girl's. So which of the two people is higher? Neither? Both? Or which one?
3 AnswersJokes & Riddles1 year agoAre lightbulb "dimmers" perhaps a little unsafe? ?
I read, once upon a time, that they don't really dim the bulb but rather they cause extremely fast flashes that give the illusion of a dim bulb. When we look at them, it appears to be a dim bulb and thus safe. But are we in reality getting lots of extremely bright flashes and therefore even though it appears safe (because of the illusion of dimness) it really isn't?
Also, how do I change the category of this question. It put it in something like Jokes and Riddles, so I deleted the question. However, now as I type this, I have a Submit button but no obvious way to change the category.
1 AnswerJokes & Riddles1 year agoIs taking a video technically also taking pictures?
To have a video, we have as a result at least two pictures, right? So if we've taken a video then have we technically also taken pictures?
5 AnswersPhotography1 year agoHow do we use a finger with a smartphone when the screen is so small?
It's amazing that it's so difficult. How do other people deal with this? The Internet seems to say you get used to it, but I don't see how with such a tiny screen, the computer will know easily what I'm trying to click on, in certain situations (like when trying to close a Window by clicking on that tiny x in the upper right corner).

2 AnswersYouTube6 years agoHow do I know the size of my copper tubing?
The freezing weather busted it and I need to replace it. I need a tube cutter for tight spaces. General Pipe Cleaners makes AutoCut copper tubing cutters that will fit in tight spaces but you have to know what size the copper tubing is.
They seem to measure 5/8 in diameter, but maybe this doesn't mean 5/8 inch copper tubing? Is 5/8 even a common size? I'm pretty sure that 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch are both common sizes, based on my vague recollection from working on this over the past day.
6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)7 years agoWhich qualities in primer and paint make them less toxic to dogs?
The dog cage pans got rusty over time. After getting the rust off, I am concerned that using spray primer, then later using spray paint, and then allowing days for drying time might result in a painted dog cage pan that is too hazardous.
Would interior latex paints, low VOC paints, and low VOC primers probably tend to be safer?
Any other tips? And how might we spot easily whether a primer is low VOC?
2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling8 years agoWhen an acidic substance like vinegar dries up and then wetted, is it again acidic?
I used vinegar to clean off a painted surface and then wiped it off. I figure a little is dried up on it, and don't know whether I need to rinse it off. It is dried up and therefore probably not acidic now, but if the surface gets damp somehow, does it become acidic again?
I did Net searching but couldn't discover the answer to this.
1 AnswerChemistry8 years agoHow can I download things without getting junk installed?
I used to be able to download free software and all was well.
Nowadays I have to uninstall because it has put all kinds of trash on my laptop, like things to do with google.
How do I simply download what I want and not get trash? Is it the new way? So basically we cannot download free software anymore without getting garbage installed too?
1 AnswerOther - Computers8 years agoHow do I get my laptop screen saver to activate while a video is playing?
I want to play sleep music at night but the screen saver won't kick in. It won't kick in because I am forced to play a video to get the sleep music. I have searched for a way around this but I cannot find one anywhere. Gone to RealPlayer, Control Panel, online searching. Cannot find an answer.
