You can leave your house whenever you want.
If you don't know how bad it is by now then you can always try to get infected by the coronavirus, and then you can find out, for yourself how bad it is.
I think your parents don't understand anything about the coronavirus, so I think the odds of your family, and you catching is higher unlike my odds.
I think the coronavirus will kill more people, but I don't know how many more people will die from being infected by the coronavirus.
Will it die down soon or go away? I don't think, so.

No at the very very worst it will kill 0.5% which is still bad, but that's only if everyone gets it, and that's worse case IF everyone gets it. The mortality rate is well under 1% probably because many cases that are minor probably arent recorded

No it wont kill everyone, it a bit like the red scare of the 50's where everyone built bomb shelters and stocked up on survival foods. More than likely it will be like this: many wont know they even have it, some will be more flu like and a very small percentage will get sicker and smaller yet will die.

It won't kill us all but it will take out a significant number before it runs its course

I stocked up too. But on cold medicines like a Mucinex DM, DayQuil, Nytquil, nose spray, and got fresh liquid albuteral for my nebulizor..I also checked my medicine box, and yes, have a leftover bottle of generic antibiotics from oral surgery, Benadryl, and a spare rescue inhaler all with current dates. I anticipate catching this flu. But like any flu, if you do not treat the symptoms, it may develop into pneumonia, so that’s my focus. Hand sanitizer and face masks won’t help if you have family like me, who regularly hug each other and eat together. I started already by buying two big bottles of Vitamin C, and telling everyone in my family to take it everyday, it will prevent the flu from being severe. :)
