Why are there no republicans running against Trump? Surely there are some moral, respectful republicans who can beat him?

RARELY DOES THE PRESIDENT HAVE SOMEONE FROM HIS OWN PARTY RUNNING AGAINST HIM WHEN HE IS SEEKING A 2ND TERM

There isn't any funding to back a person running as a republican. It takes money!

Of course but they won't , politics is a dirty dirty business and the Dems just love to fling poo like monkeys. Most people just don't want to deal with that.

Trump has taken control of the party.  Nobody will beat him.

Because there are no more Republicans.  There are only Trump cult members left now.

How would they run against him? On what platform? By saying he’s one of the worst Republican presidents in our history and they’ll turn the country around that he had successfully trashed? What do you think that would do for their political careers in the next four years if they then LOSE to him? They know how vindictive an enraged narcissist like trump can be. 

 And they know damned well that they’re NOT going to win against him because American republicans are stupid enough to vote for him again, and so if they start badmouthing him on the campaign trail as opposing presidential candidates, and then they LOSE to him anyway, they’ll never get another job in Washington again. Not as Republicans anyway. Know what I mean? Self-protection. Career survival.

Trump has successfully made him an example of what happens if you open your mouth. It’s like the Mafia code of silence. Break it and suffer the consequences.

There is at least one Republican running against the President.  That is William Weld, the former governor of Massachusetts.  He gets almost no coverage because he is nothing more than a gadfly.  

LOL they have canceled republican primaries in quite a few states.  Fox News would very much not like for you to know this.
