What should I do about my hair color?
I need to bleach it up to the lightest color possible and then dye it silver. I was told by a professional to bleach it once with 30 volume developer and then soak my hair in conditioner for 45 minutes after washing out the bleach and then bleach it again with 20 volume developer. It's not quite light enough but it will be after one more round of bleach. What volume should I use and should I do the conditioner soak again?

Unless your hair is very thick and or coarse, do not use more then 20 vol developer on it, or you can fry your hair. Yo u need to lighten it to a level 7-10 blond to have a silver dye stick to your hair.
Any professional knows you shouldn't ever bleach your hair twice in one day, or you will end up with hair that breaks off. You should at least wait 2-3 weeks to re bleach your hair. In between bleaching sessions you should do some deep conditioning treatments or protein treatments.

do NOT bleach your hair twice in one day. this will cause major breaking and damage and can make your hair fall out. DO soak your hair in conditioner and use heavy conditioning until your next bleach. Keep at least a few days between bleaching to prevent permanent damage.
