I have finally decided to start replacing my dinosaur tv's.Should I get a roku or 4k even though I am keeping cable until I replace them all?

I want something inexpensive, $250 and under which I know is doable, that has a the best picture I can get and nothing bigger than 50"

Thanks all

If you buy a cheap piece of crap,

you will have a piece-of-crap TV.

The only brands Anyone should buy are

Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, Hitachi, and LG.

Find a way to afford one of those.

Cable works fine with a 4K roku.  They would just be different sources.  Roku is not a cable box.  It is a box that streams programming over the internet.  You still need some means of getting local channels and things like ESPN.  You can pay for streaming HBO but that won't save you any money.

I wouldn't recommend getting Roku get yourself instead and Android TV box with 4 gigs of RAM off of eBay and you can install Kodi and a good build.
