How do you combat grandiose thinking?

I think I'm this super special person, but deep down I know I'm not. I want to rid myself of these delusional thoughts.

When people have those feelings, it's often to compensate for feeling inadequate.  As someone here said, counseling might be the best thing.

People say that the advice in this video is good for self-confidence.

Instead of thinking your super special how about feeling more comfortable and loving toward yourself. No matter what you think at the end of the day we are alone with our own thoughts and emotions.Reduce your expectations of your self and know your skills, abilities and what you can accomplish in reality.Be your own best friend.

Don't rid your self of the super special person thought, rid yourself of thinking you are not. -->"I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

    (Psalm 139:14)"
