How can someone read information on your computer without accessing it?
I was chatting with someone online from my personal computer then a family member had me leave the room while they access their own computer. After that they were able to tell me everything i wrote online and to whom. I do have a login account on their computer and we share the same internet or network. How did they access my information without using my login password on their computer?

They put a key logger on your computer. That means whatever you do on your computer goes straight to their computer. Also, if you share the same network, it's not safe, they can access your computer. It's the same thing as if you used your laptop at a coffee shop and you used the shop's internet, everyone can connect to each other computer, it's not safe.
You can research how to access other computers on the same network?, connected to the same wifi?, what is a keylogger?, and how to fix these issues?

They probably granted themselves access via remote access. Turn off remote access on your pc and change your password?
