Mr. Reese was 15 years older than his son is now.
If the son is now 10 years old,
how old is Mr. Reese now? R - 12 = 15 + 10
R = 37
Mr Reese is now 37 years old.

Let R = Mr. Reese current age
Let S = His son's current age
So 1st sentence wording gives
R-12 = S+ 15
2nd sentence gives S = 10 so yes R-12 = 10 + 15
