Would I be safe to drive to a nearby Autozone?

I’m needing spring clips for expansion tank hoses. Clearly I need them as they were on once before. Since I lost them, I’m needing new ones. The hoses are attached and I have clicked them into place but was unable to put the wires clips around the hoses as I lost them. Any chance I could still drive the car to a nearby Autozone to buy them? Thanks!

Yes, you can drive there without issue. If they fall off, the most that will happen is you'll lose a small amount of coolant. Get the new clips/clamps and fill the reservoir to proper level when cool.

Should be fine, but in the future, consider keeping a few extra hose clamps around for just such an occasion.  You can get a whole bag of assorted sizes at Harbor Frieght, if there's a store near you, or Home Depot, or eBay, or Amazon.  1001 uses!

they will probably hold long enough for a short drive.

Sure, you could do that.  You could also go to any hardware store, or the dealership.

Likely will do OK. You can always leave the cap off of the tank so when the coolant expands the pressure will not push one of the hoses off the nipple.

if they've been missing for a while as far as you know, there should be no problem driving a bit farther.

Yes. Secure with electric wire if you have any.

If you have any zip ties, they will probably hold long enough for a short drive.

YES YES YES YES> you can even remove the RAD cap so the pressure does not build up! GOOD LUCK
