Should I apply for credit card with student loan company to save 0.25% on interest?
I got a quote from citizens one for 4.13% for 10 years in addition (through my work i get an additional $1000 towards principal) with their credit card my rate would go down to 3.88%. My total loan is around $323k for undergrad plus grad pharmacy school combined. I think I save about $28 per month on interest. I don't have to use the credit card just keep it active but its one more card to carry.
Otherwise right now through my work my school loans is through Laurel Road at 4.10% for 9 years and 9 months.

Yes as long as you have the self-discipline to use it wisely and not run up a big balance and carry it month to month so you pay a ton of interest on the card. Charge only what you can afford to pay off when the statement comes.

I understand $322,000 is a big scary number because it really is a big scary number.
But playing "how can I get the best interest rate" and saving a few pennies while doing it is a GIGANTIC waste of time...
You have a wife, two small children, and a full time job. Clearly you have better ways to spend your time then checking interest rates every day.
And if you really don't = You are a pharmacist, how about spending it on Covid-19 education. Here is some talking points:
1. You are much more likely to catch Covid-19 while staying in line to buy your toilet paper at costco (the line was all the way to the fresh food section tonight) than you are likely to run out of TP.
2. Stop buying bottled water. Water will continue to run out of the tap the way it does now. If you won't drink this water, buy a BRITTA or a filter for your tap instead of the gazillion of water bottles you had in your cart with the TP.
3. If you would like to stock up on something during this adventure, the Costco gas was SOOOOO CHEAP today!! On second thought, don't tell anyone!!!
4. You do not need to tell everyone where there is TP... it's pretty much at every store. Since the line was too long at Costco tonight, I headed to Grocery Outlet instead. There, sitting on the shelf was beautiful packages of Charmin.
4. You do not need to wear a mask. It unlikely going to protect you from catching Covid-19, if you are "meant" to.
If you need more talking points = I'm sure your employer is distributing info on this.
