What's your opinion on people watching videogame youtubers?

I usually only watch them when they talk about the development story, obscure gameplay mechanics/glitches, or technical stuff. (One example is this guy I watch who talks about obscure glitches in Paper Mario)

       The ONLY reason I ever watch a video of someone else playing a game is when I'm wondering what a game I'm considering buying is like, other then that, I cannot understand why people watch others play games, I think perhaps They aren't very good at games themselves, & don't know You can actually watch lots of free movies/TV shows on like 20 services.

no opinion of them at all except they can do what they want to? also its good to show people what a video game is like. 

i watch them either to review a game, see how to play it, find easter eggs and stuff, or because i cant get that game.

i like using the youtuber to see the game if their opinion is not biased or plagarized 

*cough* ign on hyper light drifter and dead cells *cough*

I sometimes watch gameplay videos because I don’t know how to progress through a certain game.

I like to watch reviews to hear people's opinions on certain games, both to see a different perspective and to feel connected to fellow gamers.

Sometimes I'll watch educational videos to enrich my knowledge about games, such as the people, places and things that inspired the games I love.

As for Let's Plays, I'd rather just get some friends together and/or play the games myself.

I'll watch a youtuber if I am looking for some ideas on a different approach to a game I've played a while but want to keep fresh.

It's like anything else. People will watch what they like watching, and other people will wonder how anybody could possibly like it -- whether it's gaming videos, football games, the Bachelor, or whatever.

Well in my experience as a YouTuber playing games can be more interesting than just watching them take a Pokémon game for example it is way more fun playing it than just watching it it is even rather boring when somebody is watching that type of game
