No, airline tickets are not transferable.  Some airlines won't even allow you to correct a misspelling on a ticket.

Tickets have to have the name of the traveler. Most tickets cannot be reassigned to a different name.

There has been a requirement for decades that the name on the ticket exactly match the name on the traveler's ID.

You can give them to whoever you like

But if they want to use them, you'll need to get them amended, and pay the airline whatever fees they'll charge for doing so.

    No. Tickets are non-transferable.

Call the airline and ask what options you might have.

    Short answer, no.

Depending on the type of ticket you have and when you bought it and your destination, you MAY be eligible for a refund but more likely, just the use of the value of your ticket for a future flight with no change fee OR changing the dates of your travel but not the departure or destination. This all depends on the airline. However, in the latter two options, the tickets cannot be transferred.  However, some airlines like Alaska will allow you to convert your non-refundable ticket to travel certificates which is same as cash and you could buy a ticket for someone else.

Only if they have the EXACT same name you do

they will check IDs to make sure the name matches the boarding pass.
