What is it going to take for Dems and Reps to come together and  fight Covid-19?

I don't see any hope for it.  not in time enough to fight covid-19.

everyone needs to take responsibility for the words that come out of their mouth.  they need to speak and listen respectfully to people who disagree with them.  nowhere is this more important than from national leaders.  

BUT, in the current system, they benefit more from keeping everyone mad and hating each other.  their poll numbers go up, their fundraising goes up, voter turnout goes up.  

and as far as non politicians, "they started it" and "why should it by our responsibility to act like adults when they aren't" and "but what they're doing is just SO bad that me acting disrespectfully is completely justified" are the standard response when you ask them to change.  politics has become worse than a preschool.  next thing I know, they'll be yelling "I know you are but what am I".

Most likely, ALL new people in the House and Senate.

America doesn’t do things anymore. We just watch our problems get worse while focusing all our time on how we can use a crisis to blame the other side 

This is what America is now. We elected a game show host half the country hates who ran against a war mongering corporatist the other half Hates. Trump thrives on chaos and division and Democrats are becoming deranged and obsessive. Each side has their constituents absolutely convinced that the other tribe seeks their destruction, hates America or whatever evils you’ve been brainwashed by corporate media into viewing the other side 

When the threat to both of them is greater than to each other .

Unfortunately ,modern politicians are more small minded than of old ,and will willingly play  party politics ,right up until we are all dead.

Dems are only a hindrance. They're dangerous. Hopefully we can keep them cordoned off in their enclaves. 

Before ANYTHING else - GET RID OF THE NATIONAL DON!
