How do I grow my hair back thick and full again?

My hair is chemically relaxed (straight) now. I've been known to having thick full hair all my life. But then I went to a caucasian salon and I don't think she worked on ethnic hair before. After I left the chair, piles of my hair was on the floor. The picture with the yellow background was before the salon visit. The other pictures are after. That was over 10 years ago. My hair grows but not thick like it is to (yellow pic). How can I get my thickness back?

Hair is constantly in either a growing phase, a resting phase, or a falling out phase.  The full cycle is about 7 years, so nothing that happened 10 years ago has any relevance to your hair how. A cut that thinned or texturized your hair should have zero impact on actual hair growth or the number of hair folicles that are in each phase. Diet, stress, hair care produces, chemical processing, our genes, age, and hormones all play a roll in how are hair looks.

If you aren't seeing clumps of hair in the shower or coming out in your brush or comb, then you probably don't have to worry about actual hair thinning.  How "flat" you hair seems is a direct result of your choice to straighten and also if you use a heat styling tool like a flat iron.  I'd suggest you think about allowing your hair to grow out naturally for a while, but that is up to you.  You look lovely either way.

it should be growing at its normal thickness a haircut at a salon is not going to stop your hair follicles from growing how they previously did at their normal thickness. all the haircut did was thin your hair out at that time but it will have grown back all it's natural thickness by now. If it isnt growing as thickly as you remember its not bc of the salon visit - i would saturate ur hair in olive oil and at roots once a month and make sure to eat a healthy diet of protein fruits and veggies and healthy carbs like oatmeal, fish is rly good for protein and the oils in it. what u put in your body is a direct result on hair also. hope i helped.
