What can you do to help others get through this time of confusion and uncertainty? No gesture of kindness is too small or insignificant.?

Call family members and friends. Many people want to talk to someone. Be a good listener. Let them talk about how they feel. Talk about some good things that happened in the past. If an elderly relative or neighbor needs food and other items, you can shop for him or her.

Although you don't necessarily want to continue to greet people you walk past on the street, in case you breath out germs at them & vice versa, a smile or a nod goes a long way, towards acknowledging them.

I and a couple of neighbours are looking to set up a Covid-19 Mutual Aid Group:

But talking about small gestures of kindness, I let a couple have my 1.5kg bag of porridge oats. They wanted to buy 4x 500g packs but were only allowed 2, I suggested we did a swap as their need was greater.

Check in on the elderly and high risk, to see if they need anything. If you own your home, write a positive message in chalk at the end of your driveway for others to see.

it is ironic, that a far right conservative government is pleading with people to embrace left wing socialism, altruism, collectivism and to help neighbours and society

what has happened to thatchers right wing mantra, "deregulation, deregulation", "greed is good", "there is no such thing as society" "i am alright jack" attitude

You can print a note saying you are willing to shop for those at risk with your phone number and post it through their door of people on your street.

You can grow as much food as you can to sell at cost or give away.

In Denmark they are urging people to make masks as there are not enough.

You can inform others on how to avoid this.

You can support health workers any way you can.- child mind, cook meals, buy basic provisions and drop them off.
