what is corona?

Corona is a well-known brand of beer.

The word is also used to describe the bright light only visible around the sun during a total eclipse. There are many photos of this phenomenon taken during the 2017 eclipse.

The "coronavirus" in the news these days was named that because under a powerful microscope, the virus particles appear to have projections that look like the points of a crown.
