How would you have felt in middle school if your teacher provided a "Question of the Day"?

I teach grades 5-8 Technology Education (mostly computer-based in my school). Back when I was working on my B.S.Ed I thought having an optional daily question to get to know students (What do you want to learn? How could class time be more fun, etc.). The idea came in part from a former Health teacher who posted questions and/or riddles/puzzles each day.

    Kids would love something like that and if the teacher asked them to come up with questions the kids would be happy as pigs in clover and it engages them in their own learning.

    it wouldnt have bothered me if a teacher did that
