Do you think that more people will take the spread of the virus seriously now that famous people have tested positive? ie Prince Charles?

Even more so now the Prime Minister, Secretary of State for Health and the Chief Medical Officer also have it. Now that testing is underway we may have a more accurate picture of who has developed antibodies and who has not. Anyone seeing the Nightingale field hospitals  with 10,000 beds being created (and the massive temporary mortuaries) around the country ought to take this epidemic seriously.

There will always be some people who don't take things seriously, unless they are personally effected. Someone in their family, or they, themselves, would have to catch the disease.

No more people die from flu each year 9000 in the UK in 2019.

It's "EG Prince Charles", not "IE". "EG" means "for example", and "IE" means "In other words". Yes, more people will probably take it more seriously now.

Yes, especially if they die from it. It would be quite a wakeup call.
