Why has COV19 taken Europe by storm?? Proximity?

High population densities and social mobility. Lots of public transportation.

It's taken America by storm too, double the death toll there than in the UK. It's because it was underestimated at first and probably though of as previous pandemics were, I can remember more than a few, bird flu, swine flu, sars, mad cow disease, none of those caused disruption like this one, I don't remember any other lockdowns happening my whole life.

It has taken the World by storm. No country or continent exists in isolation.
