Error check with programs in the background?
On HDtune, i know running programs in the background can affect the readings but is it ok to have windows and downloads running while doing an error check? I have two new 4tb drives I need to check and it may take several hours.

Also, is WD's Datalifeguard software a reliable tool for checking?
