Are there any weight loss pills that are safe and that actually works?
True diet and exercise is key but not everyone can succeed at it. And it's true that most medication or pills have side effects but are there diet pills out there that are safe enough and help people lose weight?

The short answer is no. The latest prescription-only drugs, like Contrave, are reporting a loss of about two pounds a month. That's not much. Any calorie deficit diet that is actually followed, can produce double that.
I will challenge your assumption here too. ANYONE CAN succeed by changing their diet. The problem is that people are unwilling to do so. They are unwilling to feel hunger, eat foods they don't love, and give up foods that are bad for them but taste good. I know that sounds harsh, but it seems to be true. Each person has to decide each day whether or not they are wiling to do what's needed to have a healthy BMI or not.
People who are significantly overweight have things in common that include
1. Using food for emotional reasons
2. Being chronic overeaters to the point that they really don't know how to stop eating until they are stuffed, rather than eating appropriately to fuel their bodies.
3. Have insulin resistance or metabolic syndrome because they eat lots and lots of processed foods and carbs (bread, cereal, pasta, prepared meals, etc.).
4. Don't really understand the components of they foods they eat or how their body uses those things. As a result, they eat based on taste alone rather than on nutrition.
5. They don't believe they have control over their choices.
6. They don't believe that their diet and weight will actually determine their health and risk factors down the road.
Feel free to ask your doctor about Contrave or other options, but also do some reading to educate yourself on how food is used and which foods and quantities are right for your body. Check out The Longevity Paradox by Dr. Steven Gundry as a starting point.

If there were, you would not have to ask, everyone would be talking about them and using them.
