Is there really anything wrong with being racist if you dont wish harm on anyone?

I only associate myself with my own kind and would never date outside of my race. Most people would call me a racist, and I guess I am. I dont wish harm on other races and i hate the idea of some people not having the same rights as others, but tbh, i just really dont like most other races and cultures. East asians are ok, but stereotypes tend to reflect truth in my observation and i dont have a desire to associate myself with other races, blacks especially, due to things about them i simply cant stand.

Is there anything really wrong with this? Isnt it okay to choose to only be around people like myself?

Yes, there really is. And being racist can cause harm on someone even if those weren't your intentions

No, not in my opinion. Language culture and ethnicity defines who we are. There is no reason at all to reject your own people for a person from a different group.

Yes. Scientifically we are all the same race. Judging people by their skincolour, haircolour, bloodtype, eyecolour, religion, nationality or ethnicity is not fair.

First, I think you have to dig a bit deeper and ask yourself what are some of the behaviors or observations that have contributed to how you feel. What is it that you "simply can't stand?" Whenever there are feelings concerning what you have shared, it stems from a place that is rooted in either bad information, an unpleasant experience, misunderstanding, or fear. What you are suggesting however isn't racism which is contrary to popular belief. Instead, you are portraying discrimination and prejudice against other groups that are outside of your culture or race. To answer more directly, it becomes heavily problematic when one is segregated from others, because for one, it leads to an "us" vs. "them" mentality. Whether you are aware or not, it means that you begin to elevate your racial group or culture over others, which creates a structure for prejudice to turn into discrimination.

After one has allowed their prejudices or biases to take control of one's thoughts, then discrimination takes place, which results in what you are suggesting which is the feeling of disdain, which can turn into exclusion, and in some cases it can lead to violence and other forms of hostility. The point is, you are living in a limited framework when  you allow yourself to exclude others and to only embrace those of your background. One is unable to learn and grow if they are not aware of others, and it becomes difficult to expand on one's own horizon by constantly sticking with the familiar.

    It's neither wrong or right.

But if you keep it to yourself then it's not a problem.

It's illogical and it does end up harming people.
