So far the numbers just are not there!

I knew it was all hysteria and fear-mongering from the beginning. They called me “anti-science” and said I hated the elderly.

It is possible that you are correct but it is also possible that the numbers you are speaking of are not there because we did shut everything down.
The whole concept was to limit transmission which would lower the numbers.

Everything is not shut down. In a few more weeks there should be treatments and tests that will allow us to co-exist sufficiently with COVID-19 until a vaccine is available.

I wonder sometimes. For now it probably is the best idea but crashing the economy will have serious consequences.

The numbers are not there becouse we shut everything down. NY is an excellent example, they did not shut down, social distance in time. They then started fleeing their infected city and spread it all up and down the coast. Much like the spring break people, spread it in pockets around the country. Doing nothing, everywhere would look like NY, even worse becouse the hospitals would have been over run.

So... you'd rather shut down after the numbers are higher and the time to do it would have been missed. In what world does that make sense.
States like mine are still a lot lower in number because we did not wait and shut down right alongside our neighboring states who already had a lot more. The number is still increasing, but hopefully we'll stay comparatively low because we didn't choose to wait.

Ever think the numbers are low because of the shutdown? No, it appears you don't have that kind of mental capacity.

"necessary" no one is certain however, there so much that is not known about this mutated strain ...I think it best to recover a thriving economy than try in vane to bring people back to life. Have a nice day. TRUMP 2020

Aren’t you better doing it before it inevitably gets too bad? Otherwise people would be complaining it’s too little too late, but I get where you are coming from, it has crippled the world economy.
