So far the covid death rate for New York is 0.000939 how worried are New Yorkers?

Update:

If ONLY new yorker's are responding then you're too dumb to realize your chances of dying are 0.000939%. It appears you also believe everything you hear from fake media.

please tell us how you calculated that "death rate". The usual method is as a percentage of those infected, which we do not know.

What we do know is that the hospitals in NYC have been turning away apparently infected people and sending them home to die because there are no more ICU beds for them. Apparently, they have been doing this for over a week.

They should be very worried. They were one of the most difficult areas to comply with social distancing. The population is one of the most headstrong that will do what they wish to do, over the good of others. The have a population that is very anti Trump and will take the opposite route recommended(as they did with the meds) just out of spite.  Which all adds up to a population that just might not wait long enough, allow this thing to die down enough, before they flood their streets again. Those death % are based on hospitals and medical supplies and staff levels that are not overwhelmed. It will not take a very high% of the population not doing the right thing, for that system to become overwhelmed. If that happens, you can see that % jumping up to 8 or 9.

You are correct in that about 0.01% of the population of New York are dying from this virus every day -- which is about 3x the rate due to all other causes put together , ,other than old age .

Which ,interestingly , is about 100x the number of New York servicemen that were dying ,on any day, throughout WW2

And of course , for every person that dies from this disease , almost  20 more ,will suffer such severe symptoms, that they will need hospitalisation .

I think the real question is -- do you have mental health issues ?
