Do recording studios assist you in making music?

I'm going to record some heavy metal songs but the thing is I'm all alone, I'm not in a band or anything and know nothing about programming drums and the bass and everything. Do recording studios usually have someone there that knows how to do that kind of stuff or am I badically ******?

Most studio owners / engineers will know someone who can help you, if they can't do it themselves.  But it costs money, and good studios charge a lot per hour.  Even not-so-good studios cost a lot.

Your best bet is to rent a 4-track recorder and lay down the basic songs yourself, as much as you can, before you hire session musicians.  If possible, you'll want to have it written down as well.  Hiring musicians will cost less if they already know the material before recording it.

If you need a sound engineer's help, be sure that they are included in the rental charges.

Everything has a cost. Studios can arrange for studio musicians or anything else you need, but you need to arrange this in advance. Studio musicians are not included in the basic cost of a recording, they cost extra. As far as drum machines, some studios may have them, in my experience, many don't. It's a conversation you'll need to have with them. Remember, studios charge by the hour. If they have to mess with programming beats, it takes extra time and costs.......more money.
