Would Jehovah's Witnesses drink the "Cool_Aid"?

Regarding Jonestown, if your Governing Body told you to do so, would you drink it? Don't they tell you to drink it in one sense by not allowing blood transfusions? Also don't JWs abide by every directive and suggestion proclaimed by their Governing Body?

Everybody I know have a balanced head on their shoulders. More so than any other people I have associated myself with.

Would we drink a suicide drink? The answer is no. Why? Jesus never asked his people to mass suicide.

Jonestown is a part of Christendom. It would be more likely that some Trinitarian church would drink the cool-aid than Jehovah's Witnesses.Jehovah's Witnesses value life a bit more than you Trinitarians.

No GB member would ever make such a suggestion. There is nothing in the Bible that remotely would suggest it. Unlike many priests, pastors and ministers, they take their responsibility seriously.

"Also don't JWs abide by every directive and suggestion proclaimed by their Governing Body?"Well, no. Each "directive and suggestion" must be in agreement with what is taught in the Bible.

    1 Thess 5:21

"But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;"

Sadly, tragically, they already have. Look at the deaths caused by their wrong-headed take on blood transfusions. They have also been told to refuse the recent blood transfusion in regards to COVID-19. Also, look at their shunning practice, which is used to shut down any and all criticisms that a JW might have as shunning involves the total loss of everyone they hold dear. The JW higher ups do not want JW's to have any sort of relationships outside the JW's. So shunning means you are cut off from your family, friends, and social network, often people you grew up with and love. That's Jim Jones level coltishness. It would only be a tiny step to take your life if the higher ups demanded it.

Also, 'achal' means to eat. If there had been restrictions against using blood medically, it would have been listed in the OT.

Yes, of course they would - they're a cult and that's what cults do.
