Is it normal to be aroused by politics?

Whenever I see a really tense debate between the current candidates, I just get a bit hot under the collar. I don't really see this in other people, but I asked some friends anyway and they just said I was weird. I had a dream about unifying the british isles the other weekend and literlly spunked my pants in my sleep. Is this normal and are my freinds just trolling me. Or do I just need to get out more. Also for anyone else with a similar 'interest' to me; who or what gets you going to most? Just wondering what's considered normal on an even more precise scale.
