Do you keep your debit card on your keychain?

Right now as of many times, I can t find my debit card, I usually find it, but several times I ve had to call for a new one. Without it, I m pretty much financially helpless since I use it for almost everything when I go out.

I was thinking of punching a hole in it and putting it on my keychain which has a tile locator, since I can t get an electronic locator small enough to put on the card itself. Have any of you done this? Is there anything within the card that the plastic punch can damage, I just hate being without my debit card.

You will damage the card and you shouldn't leave it where someone can easily see/steal it.

My advice to you would just be more careful with it.  Always put it in the same place every time, no matter what (your pocket, your wallet, your purse, etc.)  I see lots of people these days keeping it with their phone inside a plastic sleeve.

You shouldn't punch a whole in it, because some day you might need it to go through a different kind of machine, or hand it to someone at the store, and they'll see the hole.

Great idea! You should ask the bank if they'll reimburse you the money that'll be stolen

The hole would likely render the card unusable in any machine that requires it be fully inserted. There are keychain card holders like this: https://www.threadwallets.com/products/swell-elast... that would be a better option.
