Am I sick or just anxiety?

I would go to a doctor or psychiatrist but I have to stay in self quarantine a while longer because my follow up test came positive and I'm still not clear of Covid19 quite yet.

My chest feels tired all the time but I can still function most of the day. But everyday around 3pm it starts. I get a weird feeling in my nose and my mouth goes dry. The tightness in my chest gets worse and keeps getting worse the later the day gets. Also I get super fatigued. It takes effort to just hold a glass of water. And whenever someone wants to message or call me I throw down my phone like I don't even have the energy to reply and talk to someone or think. I keep forgetting everything and can't even keep my room clean anymore. By the evening my chest feels so bad it keeps me from falling asleep. I have serious sleep depravation at this point because I only manage to sleep about 4 hours a night.

My eyes are red in the corners. And I just feel very bad all the time. It really feels like I just wanna give up fighting and die because it feels like it's taking more effort for me to be alive at this point than just to be dead. I just want to feel like I used to before everything started. Most of the day I feel like I'm dying.

Everyone tells me it's only anxiety but why does my chest feel physically uncomfortable and sometimes even pain? Can anxiety cause chest pain and discomfort all day?

You have the symptoms of covid-19 so you need to rest to allow yourself to recover. Chest tightness, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue are all symptoms. It's worth speaking to a doctor as it's now been discovered that some patients are walking around with dangerously low oxygen levels which their brains aren't recognising. You may in deed be anxious but you could just as easily be seriously ill and need to be hospitalised.

Please call your doctor and report these symptoms, then I'll be happy to talk about anxiety with you.
