In Twilight Eclipse, why did Bella say, "from now on I'm Switzerland." What is so great about it? I assume it involves mediating somehow?

    She was being neutral. Like Switzerland.

    Switzerland is synonymous with being neutral.  Bella meant that she was not taking sides in any argument.  (Note:  Switzerland was neutral in WWII)
