A celestial question was asked;?

When you look up at the night sky do you see a bear or a bull or a scorpion? Or do you like me feel dumb because all you see are way too many white dots to count and the idea of trying to find shapes within those white dots will never in your life's span be your idea of awe or curiosity?

The shapes of the constellations are a lot easier to see far away from cities.  The ancients didn't have to worry about electric lights brightening up the sky at night like we do.  In cities you can only see the very brightest stars.

When these constellations were named there was barely any "light noise" I'll bet most people can see the big dipper but not much more.  In 1987 we drove across the Arizona desert after dark,  there was no city nearly so no light noise, just black sky stars lots and lots of stars and I saw the Milky Way, it really looked like spilt milk .. I'll bet most people see the big dipper and not much more.
